The Holy Spirit, the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you.
There’s a deep sense of gratitude in my heart, one that fills me to the brim, because I’ve come to know the Holy Spirit. And by "know," I don’t just mean acknowledging His existence in some biblical idea. I mean experiencing Him, feeling His presence, and walking with Him every day. It’s like having a lifelong companion, a guide who never leaves your side.
Since you’ve found yourself here, reading this, I have a feeling you’re searching for the same thing. A deeper connection. A tangible experience of God’s presence. And I want to tell you, He’s closer than you think.
Let’s pause for a second and really let this sink in: the same Holy Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead, the same power that rolled away the stone, the same presence that filled the upper room on Pentecost, He lives in you. Not a part of Him. Not a diluted version. The fullness of the Spirit dwells within you just as He hovered over the waters at the beginning of creation. That’s not just a beautiful idea; it’s reality.
I don’t know about you, but when I first started my walk with God, this was tough to grasp. I knew I was saved. I knew God loved me. But the idea that His Spirit had chosen to make His home in me? That took time to settle in my heart. Maybe you can relate.
Imagine if every believer immediately understood this truth the moment they received salvation. Can you picture it? No more striving. No more fear of being separated from God. No more questioning whether He hears us. Because we’d know, without a shadow of a doubt, that He’s already here. Closer than our own breath.
But for most of us, this revelation unfolds gradually. As we grow in faith, study Scripture, and open our hearts, we begin to realize: He’s never been far. He’s been right here all along.
I’ve met so many believers longing for a deeper experience of God. They pray for His presence. They cry out for His voice. And my heart aches because they don’t realize He’s already with them, closer than they could ever imagine.
So let me say this as plainly as I can: God is not "out there" somewhere, waiting for you to find Him. He is in you. Right now. At this very moment.
Let that truth sink in. If we truly believed it, our prayers would change. No more pleading, "God, show Yourself to me." Instead, we’d simply acknowledge, "God, you’re here." Because He is. Always.
Many of us struggle with intimacy with God, not because He’s distant but because we were never taught to embrace the nearness of His Spirit. So many believers live beneath their inheritance, not because it’s unavailable, but because they don’t yet know it’s theirs.
Once I grasped this, everything changed. My prayers stopped feeling like long-distance calls to heaven. Instead, they became conversations with a dear friend. My Bible reading turned into an adventure led by the Holy Spirit Himself, revealing truths I had never seen before.
And here’s the beautiful thing: when you truly understand that the Holy Spirit isn’t just a force or a concept, but a real person who loves you, everything shifts. Everything.
That’s why I write. Not just to share knowledge, but to help you encounter Him. Because the Holy Spirit isn’t just a doctrine I believe in, He’s my best friend.
And as you read this, I pray you experience Him too.
He is real. He is with you. Right now.
So why not say hello?
Better yet, wrap your arms around yourself and give yourself a hug. Because when you do, you’re embracing the very presence of God that lives within you.
The Holy Spirit is the greatest gift you will ever receive. And I can’t wait for you to discover Him in a deeper way.
